Jenny Zhang, Controller at BIC and SCA since 2019, brings over two decades of financial expertise to the organization. With a strong focus on not-for-profit accounting, Jenny oversees the entire accounting cycle, cash management, and operational budgeting.

She excels in developing and managing financial systems and reporting functions, as well as preparing, reviewing, and reporting government funding claims for projects funded by FedDev, AAFC AgSci, BQNC, ACOM, and NRCan.

Jenny’s expertise includes reviewing, auditing, and implementing efficiency improvements in project financial reporting. She ensures the timely accurate financial records and compliance with Canadian Accounting Standards to align with organizational goals.

Jenny’s deep knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards and business accounting methodologies has been refined through her CPA/CGA professional studies, where she earned the academic achievement of Honors between 2009 and 2019. She holds a Diploma in Business Accounting from Mohawk College. She also possesses the Payroll Leadership Professional from the National Payroll Institute. Currently, she is pursuing further studies in Business Administration and Management at Laurentian University.
