The Centre for Commercialization of Sustainable Chemistry Innovation (COMM SCI) is core to BIC's strategy to create a sustainable organization that can remove barriers to and support the commercialization of clean, green and sustainable technologies. This is achieved in two ways:
Providing critical investment in early-stage companies with COMM SCI investments from the Sustainable Chemistry Alliance Fund (SCA Fund)
Providing strategic advice, and technical services to remove barriers to commercialization in early-stage companies with COMM SCI projects
BIC also takes a longer-term approach that supports research and development of new emerging concepts that will be the next generation of start-up companies through its role in the Bioproducts AgSci Cluster initiative.
